A successful candidate should be able to effectively communicate technical concepts to students from a wide range of backgrounds and should be committed to a vision that includes instruction in emerging new approaches to data science. The teaching responsibilities may include both on-line as well as face-to-face instruction in one or more of the following areas: scientific programming, data wrangling, visualization and analysis, “big data” analysis, and statistical analysis.
